We started out in Cairo, then headed down to… read more Aswan by flight, drove down south to Abu-Simbel and then up north to Luxor. We concluded our trip by flying back to Cairo, taking a day trip to Alexandria, then soaking in all the local sights of Cairo on the last day. It was a whirlwhind, but so well managed by Sam. He structured it with the right amount of historical knowledge (without being overwhelming) and cultural/food experiences. He went above and beyond by helping me plan out my proposal, which we ended up doing on a sunset camel ride to the Pyramids of Giza — how cool is that?! He had great relationships no matter where we headed in Egypt and was always able to accommodate any need or small pivot to the plans we proposed (change of hotels, adding in a hot air balloon ride, setting up a boat ride along the Nile to a Nubian village, etc). I cannot recommend Sam/Egypt Eye Tours highly enough, I’ve already told everyone I’ve talked to the trip about, that I know who their tour guide should be, should they plan a trip to Egypt!

We were also taken to another shop which had a 3.5 star review for being high-pressure. Both shops have been known to steal credit cards. They drop you off in the hands of a high.pressure sales person. DO NOT GO INTO ANY PLACES WHICH SELL YOU THINGS on this tour. You are being setup. Very disappointed in this company and it ruined our trip. I didn’t take home any of the products I was sold because I was disgusted.

I couldn’t wait to write a review for this company.… read more Although we usually don’t go on organized trips (we prefer solo) I wanted to get the best out of our short time in Egypt and booked with Egypt Eye Tour. Sameh was amazing from start to finish. Easy to contact via Mail and WhatsApp before the trip, very swift, flexible and kind in his replies. He picked us up from the airport late at night and being an (extremely skilled) Egyptologist he gave us the best tour we could ask for of the piramids of Zoser and the ones in Giza. On our last day he brought us to the Egyptian Museum in Caïro, the Khan El Khalili souq and the Coptic Hanging Church. He also took us to local restaurants to try out local cuisine. Our days with him were well organized, informative and fun. From Luxor to Aswan we went on a Nile Cruise with George as our guide. We saw lots of amazing temples in Luxor, Edfu, Kom Ombo, Aswan and Abu Simbel. George is a very skilled guide and always ready to help. He also loves a good joke. All in all: choosing Egypt Eye Tour for an organized trip through Egypt is a decision you’ll never regret. My son and I highly recommend them! He is very knowledgeable funny, and interactive to the plethora of questions we had.… read more He managed our time well and kept our well-being intact. My wife is pregnant so he took that very carefully into consideration when we were out touring. He managed our time and coordinated food, rest, and snack breaks accordingly to our personal needs. Would absolutely recommend him again for anyone touring Egypt. Without a doubt this trip was made much better because of him, his connections, and perspectives.

The highlight of the trip was an overnight stay on a Felucca! (A sail boat the sails down the Nile.) From sleeping on the Nile to eating in a Nubian village, we did it all!
